Growing up, we had a special plate that occasionally sprang up at dinnertime. Sometimes, it was for a birthday. But there were times it was for no real reason at all. We would show up at the dinner table and there it was - in front of someone's chair - a surprise! This was our plate ::
It's funny, it probably cost all of $.99 cents or maybe it came free with a happy meal. I don't know, but it became a very special tradition. And it serves as a great reminder that you don't have to spend a lot of money to make a difference to a child or to make something extra-ordinary. I thought of our special plate when I visited Rabbit Toes by Jessica Rust Designs today. Jessica Rust launched her business well before she became a mom, but since becoming a mom, she was inspired to design more products for children + parents. You can read more of her story here.
